Competition

To celebrate the essence of international volunteering, Lattitude runs a competition each year for existing and recently returned volunteers.  We also run the competition because we love to receive your amazing photos and footage and hear about your unique experiences.  We find your stories inspiring and we know others do too.  And of course we like to give away prizes!

Our competition runs during from April of each year and all entries will be due July 15th. The competition is available to all volunteers from the current and previous year.  Eligible volunteers are notified about the competition via email early April  and invited to enter.  The winners are then announced and prizes awarded in early August.  There are three categories with prizes awarded for each.

There are three categories for our 2011 competition:

Photographic - My Best Three Images

Volunteers are encouraged to send in their best shots that captures each of the following:
  • an action shot of volunteers at their placement, really getting stuck in and contributing in a meaningful way
  • an image portraying the essence of the local people and culture
  • an image capturing a unique sight or beautiful scenery from their placement country

Video - My Lattitude Story

Within this category, volunteers are asked to submit a short video they have prepared that captures what it means to them to be a Lattitude volunteer in/at their placement and/or within their new community.

Written - My Ultimate Lattitude Experience

Volunteers are invited to submit a short story articulating a significant moment or an amusing tale from their placement and what it means to them.
