Caring Assistant

Assist with the care of elderly people or people with disabilities and help with group activities that are greatly enjoyed by all.

Residential homes and centres provide essential support to many individuals with additional needs.  As a Caring Assistant you might assist with the care of residents in a home for elderly people or a centre for people with disabilities.  Alternatively, you might work in a community centre.  In either environment, you will provide additional support to paid staff and assist with providing care and helping with group activities that are greatly enjoyed by all.  These might include such things as sports sessions, shopping excursions, going to the cinema or even taking residents for a couple at the pub!  Everything you do will be helping someone live life with a greater level of dignity and enjoyment and give you a strong sense of achievement.
